“Pateh” is a type of Iranian hand-embroidered fabric that was first sewn by the women of “Kerman” city and has a long history.

(1) To prepare the pateh, artists first cut the wide one to the required dimensions, then they have to draw the desired design on it. Most of the designs are hand painted and not printed
(2) In the design stage, first the design is drawn on the calque paper, then the lines of the design are pierced with a needle
(3) After finishing the sewing, handmade pateh is washed and ironed with the help of a special machine called “Navard”. Sometimes the band is sewn around the pete for more beauty
